The Ketchikan Humane Society relies on community-based support to fund
its programs and mission. Tax-deductible donations allow us to place
dogs, cats, and other domestic pets in loving, nurturing homes
–
sparing them the fate of so many unwanted animals in
our society. We greatly appreciate your concern for these creatures and
assure you that your gift will do much to ensure their welfare. There
are many ways you can help.
Bequests
You can make a lasting contribution with a
bequest to the Ketchikan Humane Society in your will. You can designate
a specific amount, a percentage of your total estate, or a share of the
residue after gifts to your heirs.

The Ketchikan Humane Society rescues
many abused animals every year. We rely on your tax-deductible donations
to support our rescue efforts. Your donations allow us to place dogs,
cats, and other domestic pets in loving, nurturing homes – sparing them
the fate of so many unwanted animals in our society. We greatly
appreciate your concern for these creatures and assure you that your
gift will do much to ensure their welfare.You can specify that your
donation be used generally to assist the victims of cruelty.
Foster Animal Donations
Want to help a foster animal but unable to adopt or become a foster
parent? You can also help by making a donation toward an animal's
adoption fee. Any amount that you donate will help and we will apply it
directly toward the adoption fee of any foster animal of your choosing.

Dog
House Drive
We need your help! Please donate your unwanted, clean, doghouse or
unused building supplies to the Ketchikan Humane Society so we can build
doghouses for distribution to low-income dog owners who cannot afford to
provide their dog with a shelter.
We cannot
pick up donated doghouses or materials from private homes. Please bring
them to the Ketchikan Humane Society, 12034 N Tongass Ave, or call
907-225-3647,
We Need:
- New, or gently used doghouses
- Building Supplies to Make Doghouses
- Exterior grade plywood
- 2x4 lumber
- 12 penny, galvanized, common nails
- 7/8" galvanized roofing nails
- Mineral surface roll roofing or shingles
- Light color exterior house paint (no lead-based paint please)
Do you have a
knack for construction and the tools to get the job done? Volunteer to
build doghouses! This is a great project for a business or club.
